Babyproofing!
Our little guy is 8 months old now and doing something new everyday. I went into his room after a nap 2 days ago and he was sitting up, then yesterday I went in there and he was standing up and now today he pulled himself up to get something off of the coffee table. I know what we'll be doing this weekend. Cabinet locks here we come!!

Yesterday was the free Family day at the High Desert Museum. (yay! and outing that fits perfectly in to my budget) Unfortunately Paul ended up going into work and was not able to join us :(, but we met up with some friends there. Talan go to spend some time with his buddies Lucas and Owen. I think Owen had the best time since he is the only one old enough to walk and really check things out. Anyway...we had a great time. Thanks for the pictures Eric and Crystal!
Talan all bundled up in his stroller (sorry about the giant hat)!
Lucas all bundled up and ready for a little nap.

On the Move!!!
Well our little guy is on the move. He is not quite crawling, but he manages to make it all over the place. A combo of almost crawling/scooting and rolling. He can stand by himself a little (11 seconds is the longest) and he holds on to the furniture and moves around. Not sure if he is going to crawl or walk first...we'll see.

1st Birthdays and a new church
This past weekend was a busy one for us. Thursday we had some friends over for dinner, Friday I went to a friends for a girls night dinner, Saturday we celebrated Lucas' birthday and Sunday morning we had a "dress rehearsal" for the new church plant that we are a part of and finally we went to a Super Bowl party Sunday afternoon. Whew! Now back to the grind of the week.
For those of you that do not know, Lucas is the son of one of my best friends, Gina. We have been friends since 3rd grade and now have little boys that are about 4.5 months apart. It is such a blessing to be apart of their lives. Talan has a built in buddy already!! As you can tell by the pictures he is making himself right at home by helping Lucas open his presents!
I have taken on the roll of Director for the nursurey age kids (6weeks to 23months) at our new church. Journey is a new church in town that we are apart of. Our first official service will be held on February 21st, 2010 at 10:30am in the auditorium at Bend High. We are so excited to be apart of such a wonderful church family!!!
