Last Day of the First Year!

Wow...our little man turns 1 tomorrow. It has been the most increduble year for Paul and I. Probably the worst in our 11 years for us financially, but it is funny how insignificant that seems now that we have Talan. He is such an incredible blessing.

It is officially time to retire this book :(

This past weekend was Pauls first fathers day. We didn't do anything too exciting, but I got to think about what an incredible father he has been since day one. The love that he has for our son is imeasureable. He steps right in the moment he gets home from work (long stressful days at work). Unlike some dads he does not need to change, relax or grab a beer. He walk right in and grabs his son. It is so incredible to watch!

Talan loves to be outside and has ever since he was born. Well the weather has been so bad this spring that we have not been able to spend much time out there. Please sun come out so we can be outside everyday!!

Almost One!

It is so fun to watch all the wheels turning. Talan is becoming more and more "boy" and less and less "baby" by the day. He is really starting to listen to commands and try to tell us what he wants...most of the time by pointing and screaming, but hey it's something right??

We are busy here around the house getting ready for the big first birthday. Can't wait to celebrate such an awesome occassion.

Talan is getting so big! Days are flying by and we are having a ton of fun. He loves baths, books and balls. He gets into everything and is learning more and more everyday. It is incredible to watch the wheels turn.

So far it looks like Talan is taking after his Momma. At his 9 month check-up he was only in the 10th percentile in height and 25th for weight.

Ever since we got pregnant I hoped that a boy would get his daddy's height, so far this is not the case. Let's hope for a growth spurt!!

It is amazing that he is just a couple of months away from being 1. Wow!! Everything seems more like the actions of a little boy these days and not so much like a baby. It is so much fun and a little sad all at the same time.

First Oregon Coast Trip

Yesterday we got home from a great weekend at the coast. This was the first trip for both of my boys. The weather was beautiful and we had a wonderful time, thanks for the invite Samuel Family!!
