Talan's First 4th of July

We had a wonderful weekend. We spent the 4th with some great friends, Erin and Courtney, at there place. Talan had a great time at his first house party.
Then we headed over to Grandpa K's house for a great view of the fireworks on Pilot Butte. Talan enjoyed them very much, even though he slept the whole time.
On sunday we walked down by the river in the old mill dist. It was a beautiful day.
Later that evening Talan got to experience his first hip hop concert. Our church hosted two amazing Christian hip hop artist. Red Cloud and Heath McNease. Definately worth checking out. Red Cloud has won the freestyle competition in LA multiple times and it is no surprise when you hear him flow.

First time in the Moby wrap. Yay, mom is hands free!!

Talan's baseball butt. Thanks Joe and Sarah.

Just relaxin' at the party.

More Pictures

Our little Bundle of Joy: Talan James Kincannon

Sorry this has taken me so long. I know there are a few of you out there that have not gotten to see any pictures. So here they are.

Just minutes after I was born

Drying off after my first Bath

I had a baby boy on June 23rd, at 9:47 pm. Talan James Kincannon, 6lbs 5oz, 19 inches long. I labored naturally for 11 hours and had contraction every 2-3 minutes for 9 of those. Then the baby’s heart rate started to drop and he was no longer tolerating the contractions. I was rushed in for an emergency c-section and when they gave me the spinal his heart rate dropped even more. He was non responsive when he was pulled out, but once they got him breathing and responding physically they found nothing wrong. The doc just called it a slow start. He is wonderful!!! He sleeps and eats well and is already back up to his birth weight. Praise God for our happy and healthy little man.

Baby TJ

I have gotten a few questions lately about actually calling our child TJ. That is actually not the plan. We just use that since we do not know the sex and either way those ended up as the initials.
We love both of the names that we have chosen and will be using them. So as soon as the baby arrives you will all fianlly know what to call our little mircle.

Baby TJ is almost here!!!!!

Well I had my last official prenatal appointment yesterday. I am about 2cm dilated and 75% effaced, so we are making progress. The weird thing is that my belly (uterus) measurment went down, which means I am getting smaller?? I measured about 35.5 weeks instead of the 39-40 weeks that I should be measuring (I have measured smaller than average the whole pregnancy, but going backwards is definately not the norm).
So once again I had to have an utrasound to check in on little TJ and my fluid levels. Thank God everything is A-OK. I guess I am just a circus freek!!! My baby is getting bigger and my belly is getting smaller??? Who knows. Since I have gotten smaller Dr. Murphy does not want me going past my due date. So...If baby does not arrive this weekend I will be induced on Tuesday. Please pray that labor starts naturally before that and if not June 23rd is going to be the Birthdate of my first child. We can not wait!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay posted.

Our Garden

So we decided to be ultra motivated and grow a vegetable garden this year. Perfect timing for homemade baby food! I started quite a few plants inside the house in the early spring. At the beginning of June we transplanted those and planted the seeds for the other vegetables that needed to go directly in the ground. Unfortunately most of the plants that were started indoors did not make it...but so far the seeds planted look like they will bear fruit! It will still be a month or 2 for most to mature but I am so excited to be able to eat some veggies that were grown in my own back yard!
Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Squash, Zucchini, Green Beans, Wax Beans, Carrots, Sugar Snap Peas, Garlic, Spinach, Corn, Cucumbers, Onions, Broccoli and Sunflowers along the back fence.

6' fence to keep the pesky deer out!!!

38 weeks

I am a little behind, seeing as this picture is from last weekend.
As of today I am about a 1.5 weeks away from my due date. Not a lot of progress so far; no dilation, but I am 50% effaced.
I can't wait!!!
